M-Audio midi controllers are mostly compatible with Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, some reports say otherwise

September 2, 2009 § 1 Comment

M-Audio is saying that most midi controllers are working properly with OS X 10.6. Some reports on the discussion boards are not so hot.. so read up before you install. Read the message boards HERE and read the official statement from Avid below:

Avid is pleased to hear that Apple has released Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. We have been working closely with Apple to bring Snow Leopard support to the M-Audio product line, as well as the Pro Tools product line and extended product families. We ask that all existing Mac users please wait to upgrade until we officially announce Snow Leopard support. The existing drivers available for OS X 10.5 are not compatible with OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. Users attempting to install currently available drivers will receive a postflight script error message, and the drivers will fail to install. Please do not contact Tech Support for assistance with Snow Leopard until support has been announced. Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks.
